¡Hola, Wwoofers! Me llamo Igor, nací en 1980. I stayed for a week and had an incredibly fulfilling time! Since there was no regular gardening work during my stay and Igor was feeling under the weather, I spent most of my time working at his friend Jordy farm. Jordy farm is beautifully maintained. The buildings made of natural materials and the lush green scenery were truly stunning, and spending time with their two dogs brightened my days. The work was fascinating, ranging from planting coffee and pineapples to building a permaculture-based field from scratch. They were always incredibly supportive while we worked and encouraged me to take breaks whenever I felt tired, which made the working environment very comfortable! And I have to say, the food was absolutely amazing! Jordy and his mother prepared wonderful lunches for us every day. The Brazilian home cooking and fresh juices, made with vegetables and fruits harvested right from the farm, were delicious and perfectly refreshed my body after working in the strong sun. On my days off, I had a great time visiting waterfalls and going fishing with the other volunteers. However, more than anything, being able to experience the entire process of roasting and drinking coffee—which was my main purpose for visiting Brazil—is a memory I will treasure for the rest of my life. Both Igor and Jordy were always thinking about what would be a valuable experience for the volunteers and genuinely did their best to provide it. Their dedication is wonderful, and it's something ...

I had a great 7 days volunteering In Guapimirim. Igor, Gabriel and Paulina are fantastic hosts. Passionate about their projects, experts in their fields and informative teachers… I took part in various agricultural work, harvesting cacao, processing compost, pruning and maintaining plants. I feel like I’ve learnt a lot It was a great break from the chaos of the city, in our spare time we explored the town, cooked talked and chilled. I would highly recommend to anybody with a growing interest in agriculture ,produce and Brazilian culture . The volunteers bedroom and facilities are in great condition, clean and comfortable.

After three months traveling through Colombia and Brazil, it was at Igor place in Guapimirim that I had the most beautiful experience of my entire trip. I couldn't have dreamed of a better final destination. Igor welcomed me into his culture and his environment with extraordinary generosity. During my stay, I had the incredible opportunity to harvest coffee, cacao, tropical fruits, and even care for bees, all deeply enriching and unforgettable activities. Working in the jungle, in complete peace and serenity, was something truly unique. Beyond the garden work, it's on a human level that this experience touched me most. I made wonderful friends here, and the warm welcome from Igor, Paula, Gabriel and the Afojo association moved me deeply. I will never be able to thank them enough. I'm leaving with my head and heart completely full, and I can't wait to come back. I recommend this WWOOFing experience 300% go for it, you won't regret it !
