Somos Conrado (40), Jéssica (33) e Catarina (4). Uma família de produtores e temos uma propriedade rural em Paraisopolis, MG. Temos um laticínio artesanal em nossa propriedade onde produzimos queijos e iogurtes. Além disso criamos vacas leiteiras, galinha poedeiras, temos uma horta orgânica e recebemos turistas em nossa propriedade. Temos uma casa de alojamento no terreno para até 4 pessoas onde se hospedam os voluntários. A casa possui cozinha completa, quartos, sala e banheiro. As refeições são preparadas pelos próprios voluntários e os alimentos fornecidos por nós. Todos os dias temos atividades em nosso laticínio que incluem produção, embalagem e limpeza. Nas atividades externas, alimentamos e cuidamos dos animais, e manejamos nossa horta. Além disso podem existir atividades de jardinagem, construção e manutenção da propriedade. Gostamos de praticar atividades ao ar livre. Temos uma pequena filha que gosta de andar a cavalo e brincar no sítio. Nos arredores é possível fazer caminhadas, escalada e visitar cachoeiras.

Our time at Sitio Lumiar was AMAZING. Every person there is really friendly and welcoming. The work is fun and interesting. We were there with our two children aged 2 and 5 and they treated them like their own. We really didn’t want to leave. I would recommend Sitio Lumiar to anyone! The accommodation is also really good and Conrado makes sure you are not short on any supplies. Thank you Conrado and your team!

Amazing place with amazing people. The work is very nice, especially in the cheese factory where you learn a lot of things. Conrado was really making sure my stay was as nice as it could be. I would greatly recommend.

I had a really great experience volunteering here and truly wish I could have stayed longer than the two weeks I spent on the farm. The work was varied and enjoyable. In the mornings, I would take care of the animals and in the afternoons I helped in the cheese factory with production, cleaning and packaging (or sometimes outdoors work). It was a great opportunity to learn more about artisanal dairy products. A special thank you to Deivid and Fabio, who I worked with most of the time — they were incredibly kind, fun and welcoming, even though my bad attempts at speaking Portuguese. Conrado is a great host, friendly, flexible and attentive. He made sure everything was well organized and that I had everything I needed during my stay. The place itself is beautiful, surrounded by nature with plenty of opportunities for walks and a peaceful atmosphere. The accommodation is very comfortable, and I felt at home during my stay. And a special mention to the dogs and the new little one who showed up during my stay and already feels like part of the family — I miss them all a lot already! Overall, I had a wonderful time here, learned a lot, and would absolutely recommend this place. I would love to come back if I have the chance one day 🌱

I have wwoofed on multiple farms and working at Conrado’s place was one of my best experiences! I worked with Conrado and his team for a month and had the opportunity to learn about making a variety of dairy products and got to work outside on the farm grounds. Everyone at the farm was extremely welcoming, kind, hard working people who were very patient with me even though I didn’t speak Portuguese. I also had the pleasure of meeting Conrado’s family, who were so accommodating and lovely people who made my stay even better! The accommodation is really pleasant on the farm. I had my own little house with amazing views of the mountains and animals. The people and landscape of this farm is truly something special and I hope to return again. I would highly recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Super séjour passé chez Conrado ! L'accueil était top, les employés très gentils et patients malgré mon portugais approximatif. Le cadre est absolument magnifique, de nombreuses balades à faire, et c'est un endroit idéal pour apprendre sur la réalisation de fromages, yaourts, beurre, etc... J'ai passé un très bon moment et recommande totalement.

Notre séjour de deux semaines à Sitio Lumiar était tout simplement incroyable. Conrado et toute son équipes sont adorables et très sociables. Le travail de 4h/jour est varié et intéressant, de la production de fromage aux constructions extérieures. Conrado est très attentif à nos besoins et souple sur les horaires de travail. L'endroit est magnifique et réjouira les amateurs de randos et d’ornithologie. La petite maison réservée aux volontaires est parfaitement équipée et on se sent comme chez soi. Sans oublier le bonheur de profiter des bons produits de la fromagerie !
