1. Décrivez votre projet, votre lieu, et ses habitants (y compris les animaux) : Surrounded by lush forests Fazends Monto Alegre is a farm planted with cocoa and açaí in an agroforestry system. It belongs to European associates who live happily in a rural and calm setting near the sea. the Belgian associates of the farm practice agroecology and are defenders of the cabruca cropping system (plantations under the cover of the thinned forest). We are members of an association of small producers and a cocoa cooperative. 2. Diversified work and most often in the shade... Development of biofertilizers and use of forest humus . We also make artisanal chocolate. 3. ? we like to diversify the activities, one hour of mowing, one hour of pruning, one hour of humus harvesting, etc. We usually share meals and like to cook together, and happy to discover your own culinary specialities. 4. : The fazenda is 12 km of dirt roads from Camamu where there is public transport where you can take boats to Barra Grande, a well-known seaside resort.

Perfeito !

Encore merci ! Laura et Rosa

I spent almost 4 weeks at Fazenda Monte Alegre and i enjoyed all the moments i got to experience on the property. The farm sits in the middle of atlantic forest and once you’re there you’re there. If you’re looking for a great opportunity to learn about agriculture of this region and useful agroflorestry techniques it’s a perfect place to be. The lifestyle is simple but filling. The beaches aren’t farm from the property but they do take a lil trekking to get to. Thanks to Christophe because he was very helpful and knowledgeable and taught me so much while on the property. He’s a walking encyclopedia and a very interesting individual.
