My time here was incredible! Jonathan, Jessica, and Sarah are so knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics, and I loved learning about all the amazing work they’re doing. The days were flexible and relaxed and the work varied a lot which was great. They’re also genuinely wonderful people who care deeply about what they do, and it was such a pleasure getting to know them. I would highly recommend staying here!

I had a lovely time at Terramana, I stayed for two weeks and worked mostly with coffee while I was here (tasks vary a lot more at other times). The work ratio was great with quite some free time and the farm I think is also lovely for people who have their own little projects on the side. Tao was an engaging and active host, even though my portuguese and the english on the other side barely met in the middle, there was a welcoming and fun atmosphere and I learned! The project is really fantastic (and way bigger than i realized at the beginning). Thank you for having me and letting me tag along:)

The work was exciting and rich in learning about agroforestry, Pedro and Giulia are welcoming and speak just as well English as French, I recommend. Sometimes it’s long, maybe because of the lack of work during that period. And also need more food in my opinion. Otherwise, a magical place, thank you very much.

Guxa is a wonderful hardworking woman with a communicative passion for her nature and her chocolate. It was so easy to get interested in every part of the process, because she was so kind and inclusive in explaining it to us. The volunteering hours and tasks were quite flexible and I felt no pressure on my productivity which made me very comfortable with the work. I worked on seedlings, weeding and preparing the vegetable garden for new plants. The lunch prepared by Celi were delicious. All food was provided and my bed in the shared room was very comfy. The nature around the farm made me feel very peaceful, I meditated a lot. My recommendation is staying more than one week if possible because 1- it is an amazing place 2 - this paradise is not very accessible, from salvador you will have to take a taxi, a boat and a bus.

I had the most wonderful time at Clube do Mato with Ale and Tissy. They are very kind and generous people who work hard to create a peaceful little paradise in the mountains. I learned so much about bioconstruction, and it was fascinating to see the little house we were building evolve day by day. Muuuito obrigada! It was truly a pleasure working and spending time with you both. See you soon ;)

I had a great experience staying with Guxa! She is a very sweet and positive person who clearly enjoys hosting and getting to know new people. The property is beautifully lush and I was glad to have the opportunity to see for the first time how many different tropical fruits and vegetables are grown and processed. I learned a lot during my short time here. The project is just getting started and will only grow more beautiful and abundant as time goes on. I hope to return someday to see how it has developed!

Thank you so much Maromba and Laura! My stay was 100% worth it and exceeded my expectations. Not only did I get to stay in a dreamy hut with the best views I've ever seen, eat delicious and local food and learn about permaculture farming (while feeling like I was contributing) for free, I got to meet not one but two super inspiring people. Now I get to continue my adventures in Brasil being much wiser than before and therefore surely get so much more out of it. I won't forget about you guys!

I had an amazing experience volunteering with Vlad! He was so willing to share his knowledge about syntropic farming and taught me so much during the 7 weeks I was there. He also was a part of a farming group that allowed me to visit so many other farms and I really felt like I was part of the community there even though I couldn’t speak any Portuguese. The community is so friendly and helpful to each other it was so beautiful to see. Vlad is also a chef and cooked the most delicious organic food. I’m so grateful to have had such a chill and caring environment as my first woofing experience. I will miss his farm so much, thank you Vlad!
